The Canyon Rotary is giving dictionaries to third-graders at four elementary schools. Rotary members distributed the lexicons at Reeves-Hinger and Sundown Lane elementary schools on Friday, with more due to go to Crestview and Lakeview elementary students this week.
The Randall High School band program will give a holiday concert on Tuesday at the Amarillo Globe News Center for the Performing Arts. The Greenways Intermediate School Band will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by the Westover Park Junior High bands at 7 p.m., and the Randall High School bands at 8 p.m.
And schools are busy with charity projects, including Crestview. The school has scheduled a food drive for Thursday following a similar effort that brought in 750 pounds of food last month.
