West Texas A&M University has posted plans online for Buffalo Sports Park.
Construction on the $21.8 million project began last month. The new park will provide fields for the WT baseball and softball teams, a competition track and soccer field, and two practice fields for use by soccer and football teams. The plan also calls for a "grand lawn" with a stage, picnic areas and a jogging trail.
For intramural sports, the park includes a complex of three fields for softball and flag football teams, an outdoor basketball court and sand volleyball courts.
Students passed an increase of $10 per credit hour in student fees in 2008 for the new complex.
